みなさんこんにちは！
ワイズアップ！郡山家庭教師学院です。
以前『英語長文がどんどん読めるようになる方法』で、
「英語は前から理解しながら読んでいくとよい」というお話をしました。
今回は、新教研に実際に出題された英語長文を用いて、
英語長文の読み進め方についてお話しします。
郡山家庭教師学院がおすすめする読み方は、
英文を短く区切って、前から理解していく読み方。
「スラッシュリーディング」です。
下の例文では、
上段：原文、
中段：スラッシュリーディングによる読み、
となっています。
英文を区切るのポイントは、
・前置詞の前（ to in on for from at by など）
・接続詞の前（ and because but so など）
・一般動詞の後
などです。
区切って読んでみると、とてもシンプルな分であることに気づくと思います。
1ページ丸々英語で埋め尽くされているとプレッシャーを感じるかもしれませんが、
中身は簡単なので、慣れてしまえばすらすら読めるようになります。
入試まであと半年。
今から英語長文を読む練習を始めれば、十分に間に合います。

She keeps／ old things ／carefully.

On Sundays, ／ she teaches Japanese calligraphy／ to children／ living near the house.
日曜日に 彼女は書道を教えます 子どもたちに 家の近くに住んでいる
When I began to live ／with them, ／ I enjoyed my life ／as a *guest, ／ but I didn’t feel／ like a member ／of the family.

I told Mr. Mori ／about the problem.

The work made me happy.

“Don’t throw things away” is her motto.

Sunday is a busy and happy day／ for me ／because I have a lot of things to do ／with the family.

First, I clean the house ／with Aya ／after breakfast.

After that, I practice Japanese calligraphy ／with children.

But now I like practicing Japanese calligraphy.

Sometimes other members of the family／ join us.

We enjoy singing ／many English songs.

I often speak to Aya ／in easy English, ／and she tries to speak English.

After dinner, ／ I wash the dishes ／with Aya.

My life with the family has taught me ／ many things.

For example, ／I was impressed ／with Kayo’s way of life.

She said, ／”People in the old days used things ／carefully.

They repaired broken things ／and used them ／again.
彼ら壊れたものをは直した そしてそれらを使った 再び
I want to tell their ideas／ to young people.
私はそれらの考えを伝えたい 若い人々に
I also have done many things ／with my family ／in Japan.
私はまた、たくさんのことをしていた 私の家族と一緒に 日本で
I feel like a member of the family ／through these things.
私は感じる その家族の一員のように これらのことを通して
I think that ／doing many things together is a good way ／to understand ／each other.
