Germany has a new law. It is okay now to have and grow a little bit of cannabis.
People can grow three plants and have 25 grams. The government wants to stop the black market and keep children safe. The Health Minister says that more young people are using cannabis. Street drugs are stronger now. But some people do not think that this new law will stop drug selling.

Germany recently joined a select group of nations legalizing cannabis, allowing individuals and voluntary associations to cultivate and possess limited amounts of the drug.
The law permits growing up to three plants for personal use and owning up to 25 grams of cannabis. Additionally, non-commercial cannabis production is sanctioned for cannabis clubs with a maximum of 500 adult members. The government aims to combat the black market and enhance youth protection with this move. Health Minister Karl Lauterbach defended the law, citing the need to address rising cannabis use among young people and the increasing potency of street drugs.
Despite criticism from the opposition, the law aims to regulate cannabis use while maintaining restrictions on its consumption near schools and playgrounds.
